Retro & Throwbacks Preserving the Past
2011-06-07
It was over a decade ago when Volkswagon re-launched their legendary Beetle car as a newly remodeled version of the classic. People went crazy over the retro style and the Beetle once again became one of the most popular vehicles on the road. The success from that throwback brought new life to most other auto manufactures, and people saw companies like Chevy, Ford and Chrysler (the big 3) all begin to produce these retro style vehicles themselves. Even a few import manufactures like BMW with their Mini Cooper and Volvo with their smaller hatchback style brought something to the table to compete in the market. Currently at Cash for Cars in West San Carlos in San Jose you can find a few of these history preserving vehicles:2004 Chevy SSR LS for $20,995 with less than 53k miles screams retro. This throwback has awesome recognizable curves and lines found on classics across the country. Its clean retro look is complimented with a solid V8 engine and commands attention in the streets.
2007 Dodge Charger R/T for $21,988 with less than 55k miles has subtle classic features, but pays homage to the traditional Mopar design and muscle. Bringing back the tough-looking grille and headlights, the Charger R/T has solidified its reputation as a mean-machine. One moment in the drivers seat and you'll be hooked. Its a natural balance between old and new and Chrysler should be proud!
2009 Mini Cooper Hardtop for $16,450 with less than 9k miles. After asking over 100 people 'What is the first word that comes to mind when you think of a Mini Cooper?' , one of the most popular answers was 'Shaggadelic-Baby!'. On a more serious side, words like 'Gas-Saver' and 'Easy-Parking' also surfaced. The new retro style Mini Cooper by BMW is the closest you can get to an exact match with the original.
1987 Ferrari Testarossa for $59,988 with less than 15k miles is a stand-alone throwback and an original. Not really a retro car, but most definitely is an eye-catcher and head-turner. Several people who grew up in the eighties had a Ferrari Testarossa poster hanging on their wall. It was an exotic icon back then and even now in the year 2011 this vehicle deserves to be recognized and an all-time favorite. Since Cash for Cars in San Jose buys used cars from the public everyday, their inventory is diverse and you never know what you'll see when you stop by. Everything from economic and utilitarian vehicles to luxury and exotic vehicles, Cash for Cars has it all. Come and get your Retro On and help preserve the past in one of these smooth riders.
